For that matter, meditation can be done quite well slouching in a chair.

You have to remember that the mantra that most Westerners were taught as
children is "No pain, no gain." They think if something doesn't hurt,
cost a lot of money or lead to a bitter divorce, it can't possibly have
any spiritual payload.
