Hi Joy--

There is now a lawsuit in the Supreme (in what sense of the word today?)
Court against patenting human genes; good article:

"Matloff, director of genetic counseling at the Yale Cancer Center, has
stuck her neck out. She has signed on to a lawsuit, now before the US
Supreme Court, that asks: "Are human genes patentable?"
http://www.yalealumnimagazine.com/articles/3678

She had to sue on her own--Yale wishes to stay "neutral"--more evidence of
how reactionary Yale really is. At least Matloff won't be punished.

Today on the reactionary biz program on CSpan TV some old geezer Apple guy
was trotted out, trying to answer questions about Apple's tax avoidance--I
didn't watch because he was already hemming and hawing.

Hi Jo,

[Rousseau quote] Thanks for reminding us these recent issues of monumental
greed and attempted domination. I'll add the fairly recent attempts by some
companies to patent human DNA

-your-dna-and-reproductive-rights-genetic-slavery.html

US (or other) government first, then privatization, then tax evasion (e.g.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/news/apple-tax-evasion), then public debt. Who
works for whom?
