Of course it doesn't mater at all to the Buddhist teachings. But it
may make a big difference to the number of tourist/pilgrims Piprahwa
(India) and Lumbini (Nepal) can attract. "Developing" this site would
also provide a great opportunity for the politicians and contractors
of UP to further line their pockets.
