Dear Artur,

See Eaton's "Temple Desecration and Muslim States in Medieval India"
http://tinyurl.com/95389md

Also ch. 6 of his "Essays on Islam and Indian History."
http://tinyurl.com/9y6r5d8

Keep in mind that Eaton never abandons fully the prime directive with which
he began, viz. to minimize destructive muslim activities in India, so it
becomes instructive to sift through all that remains post-minimization.

The issue of temple desecration in India by Muslims has been a controversial
topic for quite some time, with political, legal and occasional mob
expressions. I suppose in another decade some historians will conjure up
alibis or dismissals of Bamiyan as well. There is much literature
passionately arguing one side or the other, so one has to wade through it
all carefully.

For instance:

and

An example of the Hindu stance:

and example of how the Hindu stance is defanged:

and so on.

Did you read how, even by Moshahida Sultana Ritu's account -- as an advocate
for the Rohingyas -- this round of riots began? Don't fall for these pleas
for impunity for misbehaving on small and grand scales.
