The passage I was paraphrasing is chapter 3 of The Communist Manifesto entitled "Socialist and Communist Literature", with special reference to section 2, Conservative, Or Bourgeois, Socialism. See also chapter 4, Position of the Communists in Relation to the Various Existing Opposition Parties.
