Well, the support for Palestinians seems to be growing despite what they are painted as. On the other hand, I feel that support for the Tibetan cause have been dwindling. More nations support the Tibetan cause in the past than now. (eg. Malaysia) There are also more criticism of the Tibetan cause now, than in the past. (Eg, Barry Sautman, Victor & Victoria Trimondi, etc.)
The West was once feudal too. Feudal or not, it doesn't undermine the rights of a nation to self-determination.
I must agree, that the only non-violence way is to wait. The person who comes out with a workable non-violent alternative must be awarded the Noble Peace Prize.

truly how much damange would they do to China? And they would lose support,
specially if the Chinese paints them as fundamentalistic terrorists.
Remember that it wasn`t so long ago that the west considered Tibetan
Buddhism feudal. The Dalai Lama has changed that, but if there were suicide
bombers, how long do you think that the new image would hold?
The international winds are changing. We only can wait, and hope for the
best, I`m afraid.
