Mark Burnett, the British born TV producer who, according to wikipedia 
is "known for introducing competition based reality television as a 
genre to the United States," CONVERTED TO BUDDHISM AFTER WATCHING AN 
EARLY SCREENING OF PBS' "THE BUDDHA", according to an item over at the 
Shambhala Sunspace blog.

This is the guy who gave us Survivor, The Apprentice and Are You Smarter 
Than a Fifth Grader?
