--Are there any suttas or other references regarding Yasodhara’s opinions of the Buddha after he left the palace? I thought many years had passed before he returned to visit his home town—at the very least, by that time he was practicing the Middle Way, right? So he couldn't have changed for the worse that much. Although husbandless, Yasodhara lived in a palace with servants and had plenty of extended family support—something a lot of women (at least in the West) lack today. And didn’t she eventually leave the palace herself to join the Order, along with Rahula?
