Jack, this is how I was using the term as well. That's why I suggested  
"Israel" as a papancagenic idea. Perhaps we're being a bit loose and  
North American here in our usage. That would be normal for me, though  
you have a worthy record of being more precise. It might be that the  
Pali papanca we are speaking of is a bit more doctrinally focused than  
the Sanskrit prapanca that Richard is more familiar with. I think one  
of Hans Gruenig's posts on this topic suggested that.
