 Hi katherine,

Thanks for the article. I enjoy these kinds of cultural explanations that seem to make sense explaining a religious story if only people would step and put events in a larger culture.

I was reading a dissertation today and the author, Dan Getz, was explaining a possible cause for not mentioning a name as it was the custom at the time (Five Dynastys period in China) to put two names together and this person would have been a third so he was not mentioned.
