Teachings of Peter Moores help make England all-inclusive

Richard Hobson, One-Day Cricket Correspondent, in Colombo

It says much for the acquisitive mind of Peter Moores that he has
turned to Buddhist teachings in an attempt to improve England’s
prospects of success. And it says much for the growing confidence of
the head coach that he is prepared to risk cheap gibes by
acknowledging his latest source of guidance.

Moores has been reading a tome called the Dhammapada, a collection of
423 verses that deal with subjects ranging from happiness to anger
and woe to wisdom. They are said to date back to the Buddha himself.
Moores said that he believes that messages – distilled here in their
shortest, simplest form – can be usefully passed on to players.

(I'm wondering what the England rugby coach has been reading. Sun
Tzu, perhaps?)

Best wishes
