Hi,
Thanks a lot.
Desire (chanda) is the cause of suffering.[SN 42.11]
Gandhabhaka Sutta
http://www.accesstoinsight.org/tipitaka/sn/sn42/sn42.011.than.html
Solution to the paradox:
Brahmana Sutta [SN 51.15]
http://www.accesstoinsight.org/tipitaka/sn/sn51/sn51.015.than.html
But, I have been wondering that if Arahant or the Buddha do not have any desire, wouldn't they be just sitting there doing nothing? This is because they do not have any
desire to eat, move, teach, stand up or to do anything at all.
Thanks,
Rahula
