In responding to Joanna's question whether ati-prasanga was like what goes on
on buddha-l, Dan Lusthaus wrote:

Dan seems here to be giving us an example of an ati-prasanga. Ati-prasanga
simply means reaching a conclusion that is not warranted by evidence. While
that does occasionally take place in some messages, it is going to far to say
that it characterizes buddha-l as a whole.
It is refreshing to see Dan using ati-prasanga in some other context than his
liberal employment of that fallacy in his analyses of Middle Eastern politics
and his incessant claims that there is rampant worldwide anti-Semitism.
