[Buddha-l] Limits of responsibility in Buddhism

  A friend asked me a question I pasted below and I would appreciate it if someone can shed light on it.  Thanks in advanced.

  I've heard that there is a Buddhist sentiment of the sort "if you act in a way that you have reason to believe will lead someone else to do something wrong, then you share
responsibility in that person's action."  Do you know if there actually is a notion like this, and, if so, where I might look to find it?
