Dear Richard,

Some reptiles of my acquaintance have asked me to write to you to register
their dismay at your unwarranted slur on their powers of thought. In their
opinion, only a human could be as stupid as this Bush entity you mention, so
they suggest we stop dumping on other species. They also would like to
remind you that they have been around for a lot longer than humans and will
probably still be around long after the "naked apes" have made themselves
extinct (a day that they are looking forward to with no little
impatience) -- they seem to think that they are actually a lot smarter than
humans in general, though they really appreciate how humans are warming up
the planet to the benefit of all poikilothermic beings.

Best wishes,
Stephen Hodge
