At the mention of my guru Wilhelm Halbfass, I can't resist adding what a fine, humane person he was.  His willingness to help turn me into any sort of scholar bears testament to that.  He was generous to those who were not on his extraordinary level, and often amused/bemused at the human condition, past or present.
	It was hard to see Dick Cheney mentioned in any proximity to him.  Andy Fort
