[Buddha-l] Nalanda's library destruction

Well read Tibetans I know say that, according to Tibetan sources, Nalanda was sacked on a number of occasions - both by "Hindus" and by Muslim invaders - and that "the destruction of Nalanda" was not a single event.

So Chris, did you find out what sources they use? Was this info part of Kingly histories, or Buddhist histories on how Buddhism came to Tibet, or what?
