A least some of it gets recycled.
Not only India by the way--also the Phillippines and a few other countries.
I never saw trash-picking going on in Nepal though, where ofttimes the
overflowing dump bins just seem to acquire more and more. Same in
China--recent reports show tons of trash in locations near cities, sometime
acres of it--not being picked over either.
