First of all, I'm Erik not Eric. Your reading ability is disappointing
for a philologist and it is not the first time.
Secondly, the word 'justified' came from you and that is just what I
disagree on. It is like the old 'dead or alive' in cowboy movies which
always meant 'dead' just because that saved the sheriff a lot of trouble
and the guy was to be hanged anyway. But everybody knew that it was
bending the rules, especially if the guy was unarmed.
Justice would have been done if OBL would have been brought to court
like Saddam Houssain. Circumstances made this too risky, so nobody is to
blame and at hindsight there may have been obtained some information
that could help to prevent terrorist attacks in the future. But nobody
expected this. Counter terrorism is terrorism too.
Oh and about the cap: the fact that it is not the first time doesn't
make it right or a sign of good taste. I wonder what will be next:
replacing momo's as staple food with burgers in Gelug monasteries?
