The 'business' side of Dhammakaya is truly amazing. Being extremely wealthy
means they can stretch their reach throughout the world. They have 9 temples
in Japan and 7 in Germany for example. They are said to try and infiltrate
local groups, such as university Buddhist societies, and then take them over
and spread their influence.

It is a pity they don't use their wealth for more practical tasks such as
alleviating world poverty instead of building a 1km sq golden pagoda.
