Just a side note: Stephen Batchelor's book is titled "*Confession* of a 
Buddhist Atheist".

He said that the title of his book is often mispronounced . In a talk he 
gave he explained why he choose to use
"confession" over "confessions". This mispronunciation is even used in 
the German translation of his book, titled
"Bekenntnisse eines ungläubigen Buddhisten".

Here is the talk in which he explaines his reasons to use "confession". 
Aside from that, it is a very interesting talk.
