I did mention causes and conditions. Not enough "Buddhist" content?

Buddha was a huge fan of Freud and read ALL his books. Somewhere in the Nikayas he once remarked to someone who asked him what he thought of Freud:

Mamañcepi tvaṃ etamatthaṃ puccheyyāsi, ahampi taṃ evamevaṃ byākareyyaṃ yathā taṃ Freud byākataṃ. Eso cevetassa attho. Evametaṃ dhārehīti.

(roughly translated -- "If you'd have asked me what you asked him, I'd have given you the same answer. He's my bro, and we think alike. What he said is how you should think about those things.")
