In our part of the country, it was replaced by "You bet" well
before I was born, and well before the local economy was based on
casinos on Indian land.  Every time someone says that to me I
feel like saying "No, I don't. It's against my religion." That
would open up all sorts of opportunities to give impromptu dharma
talks. Would I welcome that opportunity? You bet.

Here in I-dee-ho "You bet" signals agreement, or willingness to
do something you are asked, rather than "You're welcome", far as
I can tell, but might be totally off, since I don't get around
that much with cows.
