But it does presume that the underlying thing (bhāva in this case) is the 
self-same thing under both gazes, which, if they are not simultaneous, must 
be at different times. If it is not the self-same thing, then one is looking 
at two different things. If the self-same thing that would mean that that 
bhāva is a svabhāva.

No matter which way you look at it.
