Although I am sometimes also accused on this list of pretending to read 
minds, I have no such ability and never claimed to, so I don't expect to be 
expected to. As I tell my students: I grade you on what you wrote, not on 
what you think you meant.

Good gardening requires both. Some bud nipping is necessary in order to let 
the light get through to the roots and to let the plant experience healthy 
growth.
