[Buddha-l] Means of ego inflation

Curt,

Having a PhD is really great (not that you do not know it already).
Western academic system however is that of knowing more and more of
less and less.

But that less and less should become so refined that it is like a
laser beam that cuts through the ignorance and superficiality of
unscholarliness and unspirituality.

And it should be bright enough to be like the Buddha's "omniscience"
in that it (the PhD) can allow us access to anything we want to know
that is knowable.

It also helps attract much needed funds.
