Hence the name "ad hominem".  I am afraid this definition is begging  
the question. "Ad hominem" means "against the person" and "against the  
person" means "ad hominem".

So. You can't use definitions in an argument because they ar, b  
definition, begging the question.

I think this is a Scotch discovery if memory serves.
