There is a website http://atmosfair.de that enables a traveler to  
calculate the amount of carbon emissions involved in a jet flight. I  
just discovered that a round trip flight between Albuquerque and  
Amsterdam's Luchthaven Schiphol will put about as much carbon into the  
air as driving an automobile for three years. How many mantras will I  
have to say to offset my upcoming trip to the Netherlands? Should I  
consider canceling the trip? Or should I consider going by bicycle or  
canoe?
