I don't find the idealist corner absurd. And the claim that  
Madhyamakas were nihilists sounds perfectly reasonable to me. I don't  
subscribe to idealism, nor do I think Madhyamakas were nāstikas tout  
court, but I don't think either of those claims deserves to be called  
absurd or untenable.
