The materials you cited are neo-Confucian, not Buddhist. Why would you think
that Buddhists would provide a definition for an English gloss on
Neo-Confucianism? (Actually there is a bit of a controversy amongst
sinologists as to whether "laws of nature" is appropriate for describing
Chinese thought, most believing it is not, since its western usage carries
very specific connotations.)
