What difference is there between saying "momentum is eternal" and
"momentum is conserved"?
The total amount of momentum in a closed system is conserved.
"Everything", ie, the "universe" is the ultimate "closed system" -
therefore the amount of momentum in the universe never changes. Ever.
"Eternal" is an adjective referring to something that lasts forever.
Like momentum in a closed system.
