Wow... all these discussions on prapanca is going way beyond me...
All I know is that I have a prapanca expert in my house - my mum. She is
diagnosed with dementia (doc isn't sure if it is Alzheimers but for sure,
something snapped). She can take bits and pieces of random facts and
happenings totally out of their contexts and spin the most convoluted,
ridiculous and often disjoint stories that inevitably centers on
herself, her insecurities and her negativities. At times, she can whip
herself up to such an emotional frenzy by these totally incredible tales,
verbally abusing nearly every living (and at times non-living) thing in
sight, that no one can calm her down. One cannot reason her out of it
because there is no logic (beyond the tetralemmas certainly!) behind the
tales. All one can say is "that's not true!" - which in itself adds fuel
to the fire - "so you calling me a liar?" BOM! My wife and I just have to
practice patience to wait till all the negative energies dissipate and the
whole episode disappears as mysteriously as it began. (Fortunately for
me, she has not yet gotten physical. She is staying with me.)
Prapanca in action!
