Perhaps. I don't have the text with me. I am thinking of how the term is
treated in Renou's Terminaison grammaticale.

> hetav asati karya.m ca kara.na.m ca na vidyate |

What does this have to do with prapanca?

The last I checked, that was not considered a Buddhist text.
