Hello B-listers!

   Regarding:
>> it seems I have to make everything more than explicit

> I'm surprised that you think you have made anything
explicit in the first place.
>> If I may make some observations about why you might have
this kind of experience...

Thanks much to Dan, Richard and Jayarava for all the
stimulating debate, explanation and pedagogical tips! I'm
no specialist in Yogacara, but some of this stuff *is*
sinking in, after many go-rounds. Can't remember what
happens when Morpheus fought Neo, or even the name of that
flick, but this sort of exchange certainly does clarify
positions and makes it easier for me to take on, once in a
while, the more specialized books on these subjects. Life
may be too short for such specialized stuff, but, well, the
Saints lost yesterday so I've got a few more hours each week
to spend on Yogacara.

When I read: "[this] is completely meaningless to me
because I would have to *be you* to understand the
significance of it" it's a lot like reading student
evaluations on my classroom "performance." So I can
relate...

thanks again!
