Thanks for the pointers to helpful sources for me. I'm very much 
interested in the Links dissertation and I'll see if I can get it down 
here in LA. I also bet that Garima Kaushik's argument in /Symphony in 
Stone/ carries a good deal of weight (*sounds* like it should, anyway).
