Kobutsu Malone visited Japan and Malaysia last year.  He's also published a
book, which some prison authorities tried to ban.

I'm sure he'd love to hear from John in Singapore, and anyone anywhere.

I went to the link Gary supplied and found Kobutsu Malone's fascinating
website.
 Was amazed by the comic book-style meditation instruction sheets 
found here: http://www.engaged-zen.org/Zen%20Karmics/ . ...an attempt to
reach ill-educated prisoners in a style they'd be more likely to recognize.
