[Buddha-l] on the South Korean hostages

What is "do the math" supposed to imply?

The distribution of all main religious outfits in South Korea has little if
anything
to do with the article, which is about Christian missionizing. The Buddhists

seem to be laying low, so to speak, amidst the general displeasure. It's
some Korean
Christians who are objecting to aggressive proselytising.
What surprised me was that the ruling authority in Afghanistan has allowed
these thinly disguised missionaries to be there, non-military young women to
boot. Perhaps their entry was effected by the S. Korean troops still there.
But one would think that Karzai and the Afghan government would be against
such missionizing, especially as it paid off so handsomely for the Taleban!

Thanks, Weng Fai. The most sobering statistic is:

The nation of 44 million people has 8.7 million registered Protestants and
2.9 million Roman Catholics, along with 10 million Buddhists, practicing and
nominal.

Do the math.
