[Buddha-l] Buddha Bio

   I have been remiss about keeping up with the daily (and sometimes more frequent) digests I get, but there was a question a while back about biographies of the Buddha. Now it may simply show how old fashioned I am, but I have been under the impression for some time that the best work on this topic was (and still is?): The Life of Buddha as Legend and History, Edward J Thomas, Routledge & Kegan Paul, originally published in 1927, third edition 1949, paperback (the one I have) in 1975. If there is a better choice out there, I would like to know about it.
