The demographics of Jews in Israel does not necessarily represent the
demographics of Jews in the world as a whole. I was thinking of the
latter when I made my comment.

I have made this offer on buddha-l before, but I'll make it again. The
state of Utah in the United States is quite scarcely populated. And it
already has a beautiful national park called Zion. So, on behalf of
Buddhists around the world, I hereby give the state of Utah to the Jews
who think it makes sense for them to have a country of their own.
Topographically, Utah is actually quite a bit like Israel in many ways.
I personally love the landscape of Utah, and I also love the landscape
of Israel. I feel quite at home in both places. So Utah is obviously the
most rational solution to the problem of where to locate a Jewish
nation. The Muslims wouldn't complain at all if Israel were in Utah. The
Mormons might be a little unhappy for a few weeks, but as soon as they
trained the Jews not to use tobacco, wine or Coca-Cola, I'm sure
everyone would get along quite well.

Just trying to be helpful.
