Richard,
>No, I'm genetically impaired. You see, I had a father and mother, which right
>away put me at a terrible disadvantage. I inherited all their worst traits
>and none of their good ones. One of my fondest memories of my father is
>watching his face turn red as all the veins stood out on his forehead as he
>pounded the arm of his chair and shouted at the top of his lungs, "The
>problem with this world is THAT PEOPLE ARE TOO GODDAMN EMOTIONAL!"
>Like my father, I talk a good game of stoic dispassion, but my house is full
>of broken cups and cats cowering under chairs. I must stop watching the
>evening news on television. Just about every story I see reminds me that
>PEOPLE ARE TOO GODDAMN EMOTIONAL!
It surprises me that as a skilled Buddhist logician and Dignaga specialist at that, you don't throw these cups, cats and chairs at the root cause of your emotions, the tv set... Extinction, the blowing out of the cathodic candle is the way to peace.
