The planning committee for the XVth Congress of the International
Association of Buddhist Studies, to be held June 23-28, 2008 at Emory
University in Atlanta, is pleased to announce that online registration for
the conference is now open. Please visit the conference website at HYPERLINK
"http://www.religion.emory.edu/iabs2008"www.religion.emory.edu/iabs2008 for
details about the conference and to register. Discounted advanced regular
and student rates are currently available. 

 

Please note that those wishing to present a paper at the conference must
submit an abstract of 300 words or less to HYPERLINK
"mailto:slmccli at emory.edu"slmccli at emory.edu by December 5, 2007. This
deadline applies to those presenting on panels as well as to those
submitting individual paper proposals. Information on panels and sessions,
as well as detailed instructions for submitting an abstract are available at
the conference website.

 

The planning committee has blocked rooms at several local hotels and one
residence hall. Please note that those wishing to stay in the residence hall
must book their rooms at the time of registering for the conference. Those
wishing to stay in one of the local hotels should follow the instructions on
the website, making sure to mention that they are coming for the IABS
conference in order to get the discounted rate. 

 

Interest in the conference is very high, and the planning committee
anticipates an exciting program. We look forward to welcoming you to
