My father and I share the exact same story. The world is indeed, kinder 
to us in this generation. Some studies have shown, though, that 
left-handed persons have a lifespan roughly ten years less than 
right-handers. Perhaps left-handedness is correlated with real 
congenital neurological impairments. Other studies have shown this 
apparent correlation can be explained away by a propensity for us to 
die in accidents, particularly in wartime. And I thought my anti-war 
stance was altruistic!
