To the contrary. Musharaf's efforts at preserving the Taliban have been 
extensive --and largely succesful!   ;-)

    Seriously, the last time outsiders tried to pressure an Islamic govt. 
to "do something!" about an ancient Buddhist site  we got the blasting of 
the colossal statues at Bamian.  Maybe letting a few cows wander around 
isn't so bad...?
