I have no trouble understanding why Dalits are receptive to this kind of 
religious hate-mongering. Just as when I listen to the early speeches of 
Malcolm X, I have no trouble understanding why he uses the phrase 
"white-devils", and why that resonated so well with his audience. But 
Malcolm X managed to move beyond that eventually, while Ambedkar 
apparently became more embittered with the passage of time and 
gravitated increasingly toward religious sectarianism. I just wish he 
hadn't done it in the name of "Buddhism".
