I had forgotten all about this fellow until I started getting messages from 
him. I made the mistake of responding to him. Even though I responded just to 
him and not reply-to-all, I see he sent his response to me to everyone on his 
list (thus revealing to everyone my carefully guarded secret of being an 
anti-Semitic Hitler-Stalinist Nazi Communist proponent of Islamic terrorism, 
posing as a Buddhist. Scheist! I had hoped no one would notice all these 
things about me!). He did the same in his response to Comrade Eric.

Good idea. A much better  solution than mine; I just redirect everything from 
Thom Fink to president at whitehouse.gov.

Good advice. I aim to heed it from now on.

I'd like to think it is never foolish to try to reason with anyone, even a 
fellow fool. That's why I still send letters to politicians, even though I am 
confident my carefully crafted epistles will be directed unread to the 
nearest oubliette. Unfortunately, I think your dictum is probably right, but 
(like our beloved president) I continue to act foolishly no matter how much 
sage advice I receive from good friends.
