How about giving them to Shilpa? She didn't start it......
However, recently on another list there was some discussion about this
English chap who likes to cross-dress, so recently he found his place at the
shrine of Bahuchara, patron goddess of the Hijras. He hangs out there with
long hair, a tilak mark on his forehead, and dressed in a sari, giving folks
his blessing.
If that's OK, why isn't a couple of pecks on a lady's cheek OK? Shilpa is
obviously laughing. She was quoted as saying it was done in good humor.
But the guardians of morality in Mumbai, as elsewhere, have no sense of
humor.
As you say, Gere picked the wrong place.
