[Buddha-l] The place of Memory in 5 Skandhas

Thank you for your response. This is what I've guessed: memory is a
sankhaara. Yet something still bothered me: sankhaara, like other khandhas,
arises and subsides in a fleeting moment, therefore how could a memory be <<
preserved >> ?

Take an example to figure it out: Yesterday I met Mr. A. So I had a memory
of A as an image for example. Today I meet Mr. A again. I << recognize >>
this is Mr. A. Therefore, how could the memory of A which had subsided (ie.
finished) since yesterday, still be here again in order for me to recognize
Mr. A?
