Memory is treated as a complex mental process and as such cannot be
identified with any single paramattha dhamma. Having said that, it
would appear that sa~n~naa was viewed as playing the most important
role in the process. For a discussion of this, see Appendix 2, "The
Omission of Memory from the List of Dhammas", in Nyanaponika's
_Abhidhamma Studies_. There is an online edition here:
