[Buddha-l] anti-Israel and anti-semitism

I was writing about having compassion for Muslims, which you seemed to think
Buddhists didn't have, not about "calling people names."

Rather than referring to those doings as 'wrongdoings,' I would call them
being cruel. Yes, they including some of the women, don't see it that way.
In that culture such things are not wrongdoing. Nevertheless, knowing that
cruelty results in feeling pain no matter who is getting so-treated, I feel
compassion for the hurt among them, and also for those who by doing cruel
acts think they are doing right and in so doing must be developing negative
inner states in response to their cruelties, adding to their dukkha.

I don't get your question about did I think they were model beings before
becoming Muslim 'beasts' (your choice of terms). Who said anything about
'model beings?' You seem to have a problem sticking to the point.
We weren't talking about 'model beings' but about how Buddhists view (in
this case) Muslims. You suggested that we Buddhists were lacking in good
intentions when it came to viewing Muslims, and I disagreed.
Pointing out what people do is not "calling them names."
