The Gilgit Mss were found in the late 1920s by Sir Aurel Stein. They
include many Mahayana texts, as well as a large part of the
Mula-sarvastivadin Vinaya -- these are all in Sanskrit, of course. They are
all in safe-keeping in various museums and libraries and most have been
published. Try googling for "Gilgit mss" and you should get some
information.
